Global conference promises exciting lineup for young co-operators

02 Jun 2017

Our Global Conference, Co-operatives: Putting people at the centre of development, will be an unprecedented opportunity for young co-operators to network, gain valuable professional skills, and engage in the global movement.

As detailed in the conference programme, dedicated sessions for youth will cover movement building through social media, the opportunities for entrepreneurship through co-operation, and how to be a successful Board member.

The conference will also feature skill-building workshops on preparing an advocacy strategy and communicating the co-operative identity.

2017 is an important year for the Alliance with the Global Board up for re-election. In ‘meet and greet’ sessions, young leaders will have the chance to meet the Board candidates and ask questions about their vision for the movement.

The gala dinner, receptions, and an entire stream of networking sessions will provide plenty of space for co-operators to swap business cards and build connections.

The Alliance is offering young co-operators an incredibly low registration rate – only EUR €200 to attend the biggest co-operative event of 2017.

Hotel rooms at the conference venue, the five-star Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa, are limited, so delegates are encouraged to register now to save their space! Those who register by the end of June will be automatically entered to win a prize – two nights’ hotel, co-op pins, or a co-op flag.
