“The Continental Congress on Cooperative Law is a remarkable tradition of Cooperatives of the Americas and helped inspire many cooperative lawyers, as well as the ICA's own International Symposium. Now in its second year, the International Symposium, usually conceived around United Nations Day, is honoured to join that legacy this year, inviting participation and papers on pressing cooperative-law questions, with peace at its core.”

The Congress and Symposium aim to be a space for dialogue, analysis and exchange on the role of cooperative law in strengthening cooperative identity, democratic governance, integration, innovation and the development of enabling legal frameworks for cooperatives.

The events will take place on 16-17 September in the Panama Convention Centre (where the Global Conference is being held), and delegates registered for the Conference will also be able to attend the law events at no additional fee.
