This issue of the Review contains papers from the International Co-operative Alliance research conference, held at the University of Helsinki's Ruralia Institute in Mikkeli, Finland in August 2011. The conference, which had as its theme "New Opportunities for Co-operatives" took place on the eve of the 2012 UN International Year of Co-operatives.
